While many people think of an eye test as simply checking whether they need glasses, it goes much further than that. Your optometrist can assess the health of your eyes, spot early signs of wider health conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes and detect changes that you may not yet be aware of.

What To Expect During Your Eye Exam
Our eye examinations last around 40 minutes, giving us time to carefully assess both your vision and eye health. During the appointment, we will check how clearly you can see and whether your prescription needs updating.
We can also carry out a range of specialist tests, including a simulated DVLA number plate test, a colour vision test, visual fields assessment and the pressure in your eyes. We also specialise in checking for Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD) to see how well your eyes work together.
Using our hospital grade 4D HD Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging technology, we can identify and monitor the smallest change during an Advanced Eye Examination. We can check for Dry Eye Disease (DED), Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) and for drusenoids or ‘dry changes’, which are small deposits that can develop under the retina (the light-sensitive tissue at the back of your eye) and may be linked to Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration (Dry AMD).
